Laptop DJ..Traktor DJ software..a Guide

When you see a DJ with a Laptop..well, most probably he is NOT checking his email or updating his vanity status on facebook..if he is, then these are the few idiots taking their job for granted..that aside, most DJs are using some sort of DJ software to reduce their dependancy on carrying crate of records and CDs, if you noticed couple of years ago, i was using the earlier version of this software (Traktor & Ableton combined) to complete my DJ set up, but due to my short opening set at Bigfish events, and the hassle of putting on & taking off the cables to make way for headliners, i decided to go CDs instead of software, i am all into it but just the hassle & brazzle, infact i still use this software for my other gigs..ok, here it is, if you wonder what a DJ does with his laptop infront of him and ignoring all u girls infront trying to get his attention..now you know..at least DJs are not just bringing their laptop to show off or updating their social network status..or worst watching G.I Joe..confession though, i did watch an EPL game while DJ-ing few years back, well, it was Man Utd vs Liverpool..the game went well, but my set didnt!! lets just say my Powerbook wasn't good enuf for multitask at that time..
